Ellsworth Adhesives Ireland is pleased to announce the addition of the new Permabond TA4207 Acrylic adhesive to its extensive product range. The methacrylate adhesive offers very high shear and peel strength with little to no surface preparation.
A two-part structural adhesive, Permabond TA4207 bonds well to a wide range of substrates including plastics, composites and wood. It performs outstandingly well on metals, cutting through oxide layers to form strong bonds with the parent material. The convenient 1:1 ratio adhesive can also be used to bond traditionally difficult thermoplastics such as PET-G and achieves impressive shear strength on oily unprepared steel.
Permabond’s new multi-purpose adhesive has a fast fixture and handling time of just 8-10 minutes at room temperature. With excellent chemical and environmental resistance, the toughened acrylic is a great choice for marine applications, as well as outdoor applications such as sign making and vehicle manufacturing. Once applied, it provides substrates with good impact strength and offers high temperature resistance of up to 150°c.
Furthermore, Permabond TA4207 can be purchased in handy 25ml syringes which allow for easy dispensing without a nozzle. Standard 50ml and 400ml cartridges for gun dispensing are also available.
